On 19th April 2025, Saturday, the evening at the heritage marvel Dilkusha Kothi was an illuminating event – Rang-e-Kamal – organized by Kamal Khan Foundation – a trust created to keep alive the legacy of late Kamal Khan. Late Kamal Khan is a TV journalist well-known and respected for his sensitive and emotionally appealing news reporting and analysis of ultra-sensitive issues and events.
The Rang-e-Kamal Festival was held in memory of Kamal Khan, marking his birth anniversary. He was fondly remembered by his friends, relatives, well-wishers, and admirers – many of whom knew him only through his impactful work. The audience watched some of his outstanding TV reports with deep attention and listened to heartfelt tributes from a diverse group of media professionals and newsmakers, all sharing memories of his warm and inspiring personality.
A special highlight of the evening was a ballet inspired by the verses of Sant Kabir. The performance was directed by Preeti Tiwari and brought to life by a talented group of artists.
One of the most meaningful moments of the event was the awarding of scholarships to meritorious students from Lucknow’s colleges and universities. A total of six students were awarded scholarships worth INR 25,000 each. Four of these were supported jointly by the Kamal Khan Foundation and Aaghaz Foundation – a Lucknow-based NGO committed to supporting school education for deserving students from economically weaker backgrounds.
