Celebrating the Spirit of Monsoon: Sawan Mahotsav Kavi Sammelan Enlivens Lucknow’s Cultural Heritage

In association with LucknowPulse, Kalam ke Jadugar, a well-known group of Hindi poetry enthusiasts, organized the ‘Sawan Mahotsav’ Kavi Sammelan. This event added a vibrant new dimension to the cultural heritage of Lucknow during the monsoon season.

The poetry festival took place at Radiant Hotel on Saturday, July 13th, and concluded successfully under the leadership of Mr. Shrey Tiwari, a renowned poet, lyricist, and founder of Kalam ke Jadugar. The chief guest for the program was Dr. Jitendra Kumar Gupta, CEO of F.H. Medical College in Agra. The event was excellently conducted by poetesses Pooja Srivastava, Alka Baluni Pant, Preeti Pandey, Ritu Tiwari, and Hema Sagarika.

Many senior and young writers from across the country were invited to participate in this grand Kavi Sammelan. The poets shared their perspectives on various cultural, social, and political topics through their poems. The sequence of ghazals, songs, and verses made the event captivating, filling the audience with emotions ranging from the essence of love to humor and satire. The audience experienced a rollercoaster of emotions, at times becoming emotional, and at others, energized.

The poets and authors who participated in this wonderful event included Kuldeep Shukla, Deepanshi Shukla, Rizwan Faridi, Dr. Brijbhushan, Richa Agarwal, Pankaj Dehati, Vikram Singh Yadav Barni, Alka Nigam, Durvesh Kumar, Dr. Kiran Dayal, Amit Alp, Ajay Sathi, Sarita Tripathi, Padmanabh Tripathi, Abhilasha Arun, Nirdeshak Kumar Vin, Seema Varnika, Vijay Purohit Biju, Krishna Kumar Dubey, Sudhir Yadav, Prakash Mitravat, Chetna Tiwari, Tarun Jain, Seema Srivastava, Vinay Kumar Sahu Nischal, Poonam Nain Malik, Jagannath Rai, Parul Chaudhary, Birendra Gautam, Usha Sharma, Anju Ahirwar, Manoj Pandey Musafir, Archana Jha, Shraboni Ganguly, Vishu Tiwari, Anju Chaudhary, Shashank Mani Yadav, Sangeeta Verma, Bhupendra Raghav, Nisha Saxena, Anita Arora, Jyoti Sharma, Anjana Jain, and Neelam Yadav. All the poets and authors were awarded the ‘KKJ Sahitya Gaurav Samman’ by Kalam Ke Jadugar Group for their contributions to the upliftment of Hindi poetry literature. The event was attended by literature and poetry enthusiasts from Lucknow. It was widely covered by Print Media – Dainik Jagran and The Times of India group’s Nav Bharat Times.

 

Mr. Shrey Tiwari, the patron of the Sawan Mahotsav, stated that the main objective of this program is to promote Hindi poetry and literature, and to provide a platform for budding authors.
